City Video Gives Comprehensive History of Lakeville

The city produced a video tracing the city's history from 1853 to the present day as part of the "Envision Lakeville" process.

As part of the "Envision Lakeville" process designed to seek residents' input into the future of the city, Lakeville has produced a more than 12 minute video giving an overview of the city's history and looking toward the future.

The video takes a comprehensive look at Lakeville's history, from the establishment of a settlement in the 1850s to the commercial business boom in the 1990s and 2000s.

The video includes interviews with Lakeville's first parks and recreation director, Steve Michaud, and first city engineer, Keith Nelson, and explores the transition away from a farming economy and the city's efforts to deal with growth.
