The DFL58 Central Committee voted unanimously on Thursday night to endorse Andrew Brobston as its candidate for Minnesota Senate from vote.

"I am excited and honored to accept the official DFL endorsement of my Senate candidacy," said Brobston. "I am grateful for all the support I have received so far, and I look forward to getting to know more people as I continue my run for Senate."

Regarding Brobston's endorsement, DFL58 Chair Steve Quist said, “We had a large group at our meeting tonight who asked Andrew some really tough questions, and everybody was really impressed by him. I’m very excited to have such great candidates to work for this year.”

When speaking with the endorsing committee, Brobston stressed the importance of a legislature that can work together to solve the state's problems. "As a Senator, I will work to end the divisive politics that frustrate Minnesotans.  The people of our district need a Senator who will represent all of us, not just those who follow a strict one-party ideology. When we work together and consider many points of view, we can create solutions that meet more people's needs better."

"As a software developer, listening to people's needs and interests and finding workable solutions is my job.  With your support, I can put those skills to work for you in the Minnesota Senate."

Senate District 58 includes Farmington, most of , and portions of rural Dakota and Goodhue Counties.
