One morning last week several law enforcement agencies were involved in the pursuit of a man on his motorcycle. The pursuit started in Eagan and proceeded through Apple Valley and Rosemount, but the suspect eventually was able to get away. Later that day, deputies responded to a residence on Goodwin Avenue regarding a man known to have outstanding warrants. When deputies arrived at the home, the suspect, holding a hammer, attempted to get on a motorcycle and leave. After fighting with deputies, the suspect was taken into custody. Deputies also noted the motorcycle he was attempting to mount was very similar to the one in the pursuit from earlier in the day. The bike was also found to be stolen from South St. Paul. Apple Valley officers responded to the residence and confirmed the suspect and bike to be the same from the pursuit. The man was taken into custody on several felony offenses and transported to jail. Nice work by Sergeants Pat Enderlein, Rob Shingledecker, and Rick Schroeder, Deputies Jen Lenarz, Tim Fletcher, Ryan Holmquist, and Brent Lohmann, and all the agencies involved in this case.
