Two Farmington men each face three felony charges after admitting to burglarizing a Lakeville home on April 8 and stealing more than $8,000 in electronics, firearms and jewelry.

Chad Mason Deyoung, 23, and Ben Raymond Doerfler, 22, in written statements, both admitted to Lakeville Police that they had ransacked and burglarized a Lakeville home along Lower 161st Street West. As a result, both face one count of felony burglary, felony theft and felony theft of a firearm.

According to the criminal complaint, the homeowners told police that Deyoung had likely been involved in the burglary as he'd been over earlier in the week to "hang out." The homeowners said Deyoung not only knew the residents would be gone that day, but also knew the garage code to get inside.
