Two 18-year-old Lakeville men and a 20-year-old Savage man are accused of robbing a man near Icefall Trail in Lakeville earlier this month.

The Lakeville men—Deandre Terrell Bentley and Marcus Steven Seils-Perkins—and Dorrance Leroi Roberts each were charged with simple robbery, a felony that’s punishable by up to 10 years in jail and/or and fine of between $6,000 and $20,000.

According to the Dakota County criminal complaint released last week:

The victim and a friend went to a Lakeville park, where they reportedly met Bentley, Roberts and Seils-Perkins. The victim said he did not know the three men before the encounter.

The group discussed the purchase of “a bag of weed,” and the men agreed to meet at a local fast-food restaurant.

The victim left the park with Bentley, Roberts and Seils-Perkins and walked along railroad tracks in the area. Suddenly, the men allegedly stopped walking. Seils-Perkins reportedly got in front of the victim, said “You know what this is” and told him to empty his pockets.

The three men then allegedly grabbed the victim, repeatedly hit him and emptied his pockets. The victim broke free and ran to a local business to call police.

The victim told police he had $80 to $90 in his wallet at the time of the alleged attack.

Later, police apprehended Bentley, Roberts and Seils-Perkins and the victim allegedly identified them as being involved in the incident.

Bentley reportedly told police he attempted to break up the incident. Seils-Perkins said he saw the incident, but he was not involved. Roberts did not provide a statement to police.

STILL IN CUSTODY

As of Wednesday morning, Seils-Perkins remained in custody in Dakota County Jail on the robbery charge, as well as six unrelated warrant charges: interfering with a 911 call, a gross misdemeanor; as well as two counts of misdemeanor domestic assault, disorderly conduct, fifth-degree assault and alcohol consumption by a minor. His bail on the robbery charge is $2,000. Bail is $6,000 on the gross-misdemeanor charge.

Roberts also remained in custody on the robbery charge, as well as on a warrant for felony first-degree burglary in Burnsville. Bail for the robbery charge is $10,000, and bail on the burglary charge is $25,000.
