Snow to End in Lakeville; Roads, Morning Rush a Mess

After getting 1-2 inches of snow overnight, roads are a mess.

A winter weather advisory is in effect through noon Monday for the metro area, including . 

A freezing rain all day Sunday turned to snow overnight, peaking this morning during rush hour traffic, according to the National Weather Service

"The snow and ice will likely cause problems for morning commuters across the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area," states the advisory released by the National Weather Service on Sunday evening.

Slick roads on Friday resulted in over 600 crashes statewide, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. No serious or fatal injuries were reported.

The State Patrol will release morning rush-hour crash numbers at 9:30 a.m.
