While on patrol, Deputy Jeff Leopold found a car parked near the Jack Ruhr baseball field in Miesville. Due to the time of night, the car and occupants seemed out of place.
The two occupants, an adult male and female, could not reasonably explain the reason for being there. While talking with the two, Deputy Leopold noticed several items in the back seat of the car, including an electric hedge trimmer that appeared to closely resemble one he had taken a stolen report on the day before. Further investigation revealed the two were actually three, given they had dropped off an accomplice with the intent to burgle a nearby business and were communicating with him via handheld radios.

The two occupants were taken into custody for burglary and possession of stolen property. The third suspect was not arrested, yet. Assisting on the call were Sergeants Booker Hodges and Tim Samuelson and Deputies Sean Qualy, Bryan Hermerding, and Brian Smidt. Nice work!
