Serious Crash on I-35 Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured

An 18-year-old from Credit River Township died in the crash that occurred early Saturday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Interstate 35 near Elko early on Saturday morning.

A Honda Civic carrying three occupants rolled over on the highway shortly after 3:30 a.m. Jordan R. Huver, 18, of Credit River Township, was killed in the crash.

Tyler D. Henry, 29, of Lakeville, was the driver of the vehicle. He suffered non-life threatening injuries according to the state patrol report. Another passenger, Quinten D. Watkins, 26, of Lonsdale, also suffered non-life threatening injuries.

According to the report, the roadway was wet and alcohol was detected in the driver and passengers. 

Assisting agencies include the Dakota County Sheriff's Office and the Scott County Sheriff's Office.
