Reports: Bad Crash on I-35W Near Buck Hill

A serious crash on I-35W near Buck Hill Sunday night required extrication and airlift for a victim or victims, according to reports online and over emergency dispatch radio. 

The Lakeville Fire Department was called to the scene and asked to stage along the frontage road near the ski resort, according to scanner reports. They were then called off just as the victim or victims was extricated and the medical helicopter lifted off from the scene, according to reports at the Police Clips Facebook page.  

One person posted an eyewitness report on Twitter at 9:32 p.m. Sunday: "Just saw a car crash on the highway from the top of buck hill." (For more from Twitter, see the Storify above at our desktop version or at Storify.com.)

The Sunday night crash occurred near the site of an August 2012 crash that took the life of two teenagers:
