Obituary: Barry Christensen, Lakeville's Former Fire Chief, Dies
Former chief died of an apparent heart attack.
Former Lakeville Fire Chief Barry Christensen, 67, died of an apparent heart attack April 5.
Christensen was Lakeville's longest serving fire chief, holding what was at that time a volunteer position, from 1978 through 2000.
He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary (Grundman) Christensen; children, Christina (Jim) Puncochar and Melissa (Bret) Lorenson; grandchildren, Eric, Alex and Lauren Puncochar, Jake and Anna Lorenson; brother, Dean (Marcia) Christensen.

Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 9 at the Church of the Risen Savior, 1501 Co. Rd. 42, Burnsville. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, April 8 at , in Lakeville, and one hour prior to mass at church. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Lakeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
