According to the Dakota County criminal complaint released last week:

The grandfather contacted Lakeville police about two missing long guns on April 2. He reportedly told police he last saw the guns three months before and he suspected that Braun took them.

Braun had been removed from the grandfather’s residence by police on April 1. The grandfather had an active order for protection against Braun.

Police discovered through the automated pawn system that Braun reportedly pawned two guns at a Burnsville pawn shop in late 2012. A surveillance video shows that the person who pawned the guns matched the likeness on Braun’s driver’s license photo.
