Lakeville Strip Mall Burglaries Affect Businesses Along Interstate 35

Police ask residents to report suspicious activity at closed businesses.

Interim Police Chief John Kornmann reports in "Breezes," the Lakeville Police Department newsletter, that there were two burglaries in two days last week.

The burglaries occurred at a hair salon and an insurance agency in strip malls along interstate 35. They occurred between the hours of 3 a.m. and dawn.

The strip malls where the burglaries occurred are located at:

  • Kenrick Avenue, South of 205th Street
  • 17640 Kenwood Trail

Police ask residents to report suspicious activity to the police. "Commuters on their way to work may be unknowing witnesses to these crimes," writes Kornmann.

To contact the Lakeville Police Department, call 952-985-2800. In the case of an emergency call 911.

okay...which hair salon? Along the 35 corridor...I can think of 3 or 4 such strip mall locations with both a hair solon and an insurance agency in them...I wonder why The Patch never gives it's readers all of the information?

Thank you, Devera - I've updated the story with the locations I received from the police. The investigation is still open and they ask residents to report unusual activity at closed businesses in the area - not just at the locations listed. Hope this helps.
