Lakeville Pilot Lands on Highway Before Crashing

Authorities say Gary Debaun suffered only minor injuries in the crash near Lamberton, MN, a town about 130 miles southwest of Lakeville.

A pilot suffered minor injuries in a plane crash yesterday in southwest Minnesota.

Authorities say Gary Debaun's plane experienced mechanical issues before he made an emergency landing on Highway 14, a rural highway in Lamberton Township, roughly 130 miles southwest of Lakeville.

The Redwood County Sheriff's Office said Debaun suffered only minor injuries when, after landing on the roadway, his plane skidded into a ditch, hit several trees and flipped.
