Lakeville Man Charged With Burglary, Theft of Several Guns

Jordan Veryl Greene, 23, faces three felonies for his alleged role in a Dec. 11 burglary of a barn in Eureka Township.

A Lakeville man has been charged with three felonies, including burglary and theft of a firearm, after police say he stole a number of guns and power tools from a Eureka Township home on Dec. 11.

Jordan Veryl Greene, 23, declined to give a statement regarding the case, but his girlfriend Nina Marie Davis, 18, spoke to , and claimed the two were present when a third person, Terrance Matthew Brown, 24, of Minneapolis, stole the guns from the barn.

The woman's statement doesn't mesh with the criminal complaint, which says nearly $7,000 in firearms, power tools, and even a crossbow, were taken from the shed on the night of Dec. 11. According to the report filed the morning the burglary was discovered, officers "located distinct footprints in the snow outside the shop and a piece of paper on the shop floor with a footprint on it."

On Dec. 20, Brown was arrested in Minneapolis in connection to another burglary. With him at the time of his arrest were some of the guns from the Eureka Township barn. Brown told police that he got the guns from Greene and was just attempting to sell them in the city.

When police went to Greene's Lakeville residence, officers one of the missing guns as well as the power tools and crossbow.

Officers also located a white plastic bag containing tennis shoes belonging to Greene. The tread on the shoes matched those found at the Eureka Township barn.
