Lakeville Man Charged in I-35 Crash that Killed Teen

Tyler David Henry is charged with criminal vehicular homicide and other related charges in the crash that killed Rosemount High School graduate Jordan R. Huver.

The driver of the car that crashed on I-35 near Elko New Market, leaving a Scott County teen dead, is facing charges in the incident.

Tyler David Henry, 29, of Lakeville is charged with "criminal vehicular homicide, first-degree DWI (driving while intoxicated) and driving after cancellation of his driver’s license," according to the Shakopee Valley News. He was charged in Scott County Court.

The crash occurred in the early hours of Dec. 28. Henry and another passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries when the car rolled over on the roadway. Jordan R. Huver, 18, died in the crash. 

According to the Shakopee Valley News:

"Henry allegedly said that they were coming from a home in Lonsdale where they had been drinking, and that he had drunk a 40-ounce bottle of beer and some shots of hard alcohol. Henry allegedly said he didn’t know when he stopped drinking, and that he didn’t remember whether or not he had been driving the vehicle when it crashed."

Henry's blood-alcohol concentration in a preliminary breath test was 0.09, exceeding the legal limit of 0.08, according the paper. He is currently in Scott County Jail
