Lakeville Firefighters Battle House Fire

At least seven fire engines and ladder trucks responded to the blaze on Huntington Path.

Lakeville firefighters battled a multiple-alarm house fire at 16798 Huntington Path on Monday night.

At least seven fire engines and ladder trucks, in addition to Lakeville Police and ALF Ambulance, responded to the blaze, which was reported at about 7:30 p.m. Firefighters remained on the scene for about two hours.

The fire appeared to have started in a room behind the attached garage of the two-story home. An exhaust fan could be seen hanging in a doorway leading from the garage.

After the fire was knocked down, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and carrying axes and flashlights made their way through the home’s front door and up a staircase. Firefighters could be seen working through a window above the garage.
