Lakeville Man Gets Probation For Thefts, Drug Possession

Sunleader Glows-Brightly must submit to testing and remain law abiding until January 2015.

A 73-year-old Lakeville man was given three years probation after being convicted on Tuesday of two counts of misdemeanor theft and a single count of felony fifth-degree drug possession

 that turned up marijuana, oxycodone and drug paraphernalia, including needles and a glass pipe.

Glows-Brightly admitted the marijuana was his at the time of his arrest but has always denied ownership of the other items, instead blaming his 21-year-old renter.

As a condition of his probation, Glows-Brightly was ordered by District Court Judge Shawn Moynihan to steer clear of Walmart and Fleet Farm stores, the sites of his thefts in 2011.

Glows-Brightly is required to submit to a chemical dependency evaluation and follow the recommendations therein.

He must also submit to random urine analyses and remain law abiding until Jan. 17, 2015 or risk serving jail time.
