Dumb Criminal: Three-Day Drinking Binge Leads to Hospital, Arrest
Binge drinker had felony warrant out for his arrest.
Officers were called to a residence on a medical call to check on an individual who had reportedly been drinking for the past three days. The officers arrived and found the individual, who was under the influence, in the basement of the house.
The subject was reluctant to get assistance. The subject was eventually checked out by the officers and paramedics. He complained of dizziness and requested to be transported to the hospital.
The officers found out why the subject was reluctant to talk with them when they ran a check and found that the subject had an active felony warrant out of Oak Park Heights for a release violation. The officers advised Oak Park Heights that the subject could be located and picked up on the warrant at the hospital.
