Dumb Criminal: Serial Shoplifter Tracked to Home, Arrested

A man who was arrested for shoplifting a few weeks ago was at it again last week when police easily matched his picture from surveillance footage. He was arrested at home.

Tom Danielson responded to a shoplifting theft call from a store one evening this week. The store provided a good description and also had surveillance video of the suspect committing the theft.

Before Officer Danielson had even arrived on the scene, Officer Jason Haider, hearing the description of the suspect on the police radio, called Officer Danielson and advised him that he had arrested a suspect matching the description for a similar shoplifting incident just a few weeks ago.

After checking the surveillance photos, the officers confirmed the identity of the suspect and responded to his residence. The suspect admitted to the officers that he committed the theft and he even admitted to committing another shoplifting theft. The suspect was charged for the thefts.
