Dumb Criminal of the Week: Underage Marijuana Smokers
An underage driver and his passengers were smoking pot in a Lakeville park until park-goers pointed out the car to an officer.
Officer Shawn Fitzhenry was on patrol when he pulled into the parking lot of a park and was approached by some citizens who pointed out a vehicle in the parking lot in which they thought that underage people were smoking in.
Officer Fitzhenry drove over to where the vehicle was parked and saw what appeared to be underage juveniles getting into the car, who were smoking. The car pulled out of the parking lot and Officer Fitzhenry stopped the vehicle.
The occupants of the car admitted to Officer Fitzhenry that they had been smoking cigarettes; but as Officer Fitzhenry spoke with them, he detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the car.

The driver admitted to also smoking marijuana recently and having a small amount. The driver was cited for the marijuana violations.
