Sometimes it seems that people are bound and determined to get themselves arrested, no matter what the officers do.
Sergeant Jim Puncochar and Sergeant Bill Gerl responded to a report of a subject trespassing at a residence. When the officers arrived on the scene, the homeowner told them that his sister’s ex was at the residence and he did not want him there any longer.
The subject told the officers that he had nowhere to go and refused to leave. The officers offered to give the subject a ride countless times, but he stated that he was not going to move off the couch. He was arrested for trespassing and transported to the Dakota County Jail.
