Burnsville Resident Injured in I-35 Crash near Lakeville Border
Suleiban B. Ali, 35, of Burnsville was airlifted from the scene of the Sunday night crash, initial reports say.
A Burnsville resident was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Sunday night on Interstate 35 near the Crystal Lake Road interchange.
The Minnesota State Patrol says Suleiban B. Ali, 35, was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry south on I-35 at about 9:30 p.m. near the Burnsville-Lakeville border.
Ali steered the car to the center lane to avoid slow traffic in the right lane, then lost control when turning back into the right lane. The car went into the ditch on the right side of the highway, went down the grass embankment and struck a tree.

Initial reports from the scene says Ali was extricated from the vehicle, then was flown by helicopter to the hospital.
The Lakeville Fire Department was called to the scene to backup first responders.
