The Farmington and Lakeville School Districts are providing a special opportunity for parents to learn more about raising a digital citizen. A digital citizen is one who knows what is right and wrong, exhibits intelligent technology behavior, and makes good choices when using technology. As part of Community Education’s Farmington/Lakeville 2013-14 Parenting Series, a presentation by Devorah Heitner will be held at Farmington High School’s recital hall from 7-8:30 pm, on Thursday, October 3. Devorah Heitner is a nationally recognized consultant and speaker that will help parents facilitate their children’s and teen’s engagement with media and technology. Her informative and thought-provoking presentation helps parents and teachers to facilitate children's and teens’ engagement with media and technology.
Admission is free and pre-registration is not required. Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) are available for a small fee.
