Help Remove Garlic Mustard at Pine Bend

Have you been looking for a way to get involved in the outdoors and your community? Join us at Pine Bend Scientific and Natural Area, an award-winning restoration project known for some of the best views of the Upper Mississippi River!

At this event, an ecologist from Friends of the Mississippi River will train you to identify and remove garlic mustard, an invasive plant that outcompetes native plants for nutrients, light and space. Although a serious threat, garlic mustard is fairly easy to identify and quick to pull by hand.

Removing these weedy species will help enhance Pine Bend's ecological integrity and protect threatened native plant species, which many birds and other wildlife rely on for much-needed habitat.
