Fred's Follies Summer Showcase

Eagan, MN – Fred Astaire Franchise Dance Studios- South Metro will present Fred’s Follies, taking place at The History Theater, St Paul, MN on July 19th, and featuring students and professional staff of Fred Astaire Franchise Dance Studios – South Metro and Fred Astaire Franchise Dance Studios - Rochester. 

Fred Astaire Franchise Dance Studio – South Metro is proud to bring Fred’s Follies to The History Theater, St Paul. Fred’s Follies will be a showcase of dance routines performed by students and professionals. Ballroom dances that will be showcased will include Rumba, Swing, Tango, Waltz, Quickstep and many others.   

Doors open at 3:00 PM and the show will start at 3:30 PM.  Tickets are now on sale at Fred Astaire Franchise Dance Studio – South Metro in Eagan, MN for $15.00.  Tickets will be also sold at the door for $20.00.  

Fred Astaire Franchise Dance Studios was founded in 1947 by Fred Astaire himself and was the first dance franchise established.  Mr. Fred Astaire wanted to establish a chain of studios under his name to make sure that his techniques would be preserved and passed onto the public.  Mr. Astaire was instrumental in the choice of dance curriculum and instructional techniques.  With the opening of the first Fred Astaire Studios in Park Avenue in New York City, Fred Astaire brought his immense talent out of the glamour of Hollywood and onto the dance floors of America and the world.

Today, numerous Fred Astaire Franchised Dance Studios, located in cities throughout North America and internationally are required to maintain the highest standards of excellence through our National Dance Board and Fred Astaire Franchised Dance Studios Curriculum certification.  Although Mr. Astaire is no longer with us in person, our studios have produced a wealth of amateur and professional dancers who are living embodiments of his style and grace.
