Pan-O-Prog Day 8: Huge Day at Lakeville’s Summer Festival on Thursday

July 11 is the perfect day to get acquainted with the festival, as events are planned for the entire day.

If you haven’t been to the 47th annual Lakeville Panorama of Progress—better known as Pan-O-Prog—yet this year, Thursday probably is the perfect day to join the fun.

More than a dozen events are planned for Thursday, including Beer, Brats and Bingo and the start of the fun fair. Look for a schedule of Thursday’s events below.

Here is information about Beer, Brats and Bingo from Pan-O-Prog’s website:

Lakeville residents view Beer, Brats and Bingo as more of a reunion than a fundraiser for the Lions. Every year, it is an opportunity to see friends who have moved away from the city, or just an evening that everyone knows to make time for in their busy schedules.

Tickets are required for beer, brats, pop and chips. Patrons can return to the ticket booth at anytime during the evening to purchase more food and drink tickets.

Each and every year, the Lions Club raises thousands of dollars that are given back to the community.

At 7:00 PM, bingo Starts. Cards are $10 each.  Final game (blackout) starts at 11:15 pm.  Prizes donated by area businesses.

WHAT IS PAN-O-PROG?

Panorama of Progress, or PAN-O-PROG, as the weeklong festival is commonly known, began largely due from the success of the development of Lakeville's Airlake Industrial Park. Sensing the future growth of the city, community leaders looked for a way to observe. Since 1967 Lakeville has been celebrating its successes as PAN-O-PROG!

Here are the clues so far:

• CLUE #4 - Wednesday, July 10: You can play on the swings, or ride on your bike. From where you park, it's a pretty good hike. You can play in the sand, or slip down the slide. That tricky medallion sure knows how to hide!

• CLUE #3 - Tuesday, July 9: The prize can be found near a school or a park. So look all day long, but stop when it's dark. You don't need a ladder, you won't need a tool. It's not in a lake, though that would be cool!

• CLUE #2 - Monday, July 8: These very first clues won't tell you a lot. But reading them all will give you a shot.

If you start looking now, you'll soon get too tired. But don't give up hope, keep staying inspired.

• CLUE #1:  Pan-O-Prog's here and there's no time to be slow, there's treasure to find, so look high and look low!  You gotta start somewhere, so here's your very first clue.  Be ready on Monday, July 8 for Clue #2!
