DUMB CRIMINAL: Theft Suspect Gets Ticked Off

Loss prevention officers at a store observed a subject open a light fixture box and remove the light fixture and then fill the box with other merchandise from the store. The subject took the box, which concealed the other merchandise, and paid for the light fixture. The loss prevention officers attempted to stop the subject as he left the store, but he pushed his way by them and fled the parking lot in his vehicle. The suspect vehicle was located by Burnsville Police and stopped and the suspect was arrested for the felony theft. The suspect’s vehicle was towed and impounded and the suspect was jailed pending formal felony theft charges. The stolen store merchandise found in the box - $1,800 worth of flee/tick medicine for dogs.
