Visions for Vacancies: What Business Do You Want to See Go Here?

This is a new feature that asks residents how Lakeville should fill its vacant spaces.

Lakeville's business landscape is constantly changing—and part of that change includes vacant properties sprinkled throughout the community.

From empty spaces in malls, to stand-alone buildings without a tenant, there are a few commercials spaces around Lakeville screaming for new business.

And there’s little doubt residents have their own ideas on how they'd like to see these spaces filled.

In this new feature,  asks you to imagine the future of these spaces. Do you see a new restaurant? A new store? Something no one else has considered? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

In this inaugural edition, we start off with one of Lakeville's most notorious ever changing spaces: the former El Lorito, Rocky Grill and Lakeville Family Restaurant space.

Where's the vacancy? 8275 210th St. W., across from Airlake Industrial Park

What was it? In the past 10 years, the space has churned through restaurants, being home to El Lorito, Rockys Grill and the Lakeville Family Restaurant.
