Urgent Care Lakeville is Now Open

Urgent Care Lakeville opened this week at FamilyHealth Medical Clinic. The urgent care service will accept walk-in patients at the clinic throughout the week. Physicians, who have emergency medicine experience, are equipped to make referrals, if necessary.

Other services offered are laboratory and radiology services as well as care for minor to moderate wounds.

“We think the urgent care model meets a community need,” said Kathleen Meier, division administrator for clinic services, in a news release from Northfield Hospital and Clinics. “Patients often can’t anticipate their need for medical care. This will give them an important option when the need is now.”

A few of the conditions treated at urgent care facilities include, according to information on the Urgent Care Lakeville webpage:

• Sprains and broken bones
• Ear infections
• Sinus infections
• High fever
• Vomiting
• Severe sore throat or cough

Business hours are are 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It is located in FamilyHealth Medical Clinic, located at County Road 70 and Jacquard Avenue.
