Linder's Flower Marts Will Not Return for Another Season

Linders is closing, the company announced on Wednesday.

The owners of Linder's Greenhouses Inc. publicly announced on Wednesday that after 102 years in business, the company is closing.

The message on the company website states:

The Linder family has made the decision to close Linder’s Greenhouses Inc. We will be having an orderly wind down of the business in the coming weeks. We would like to thank all our customers, our staff and the Twin Cities community for their support in our 100+ years of business.

Owner Dave Linder, "said losing the needed line of credit, along with the ongoing recession and the 'worst spring I've seen in 50 years of working here' this year forced the decision," reported the St. Paul Pioneer Press

Everything at the Garden Center, located at 70 West Larpenteur Avenue in St. Paul is 50 percent off.

The Flower Marts have already closed for the season, but Linder's had one located in Lakeville at Rainbow Foods, 17756 Kenwood Trail.

There are over 150 messages on the Linder's Facebook page, where the business closing is also announced. The messages note sadness and shock at hearing the news and several said that they would miss the business.

Are you going to miss shopping at Linder's Flower Mart in Lakeville?
