Lakeville's New Walmart Set to Open Oct. 17; But Not With a Chipotle

Despite Twitter rumors to the contrary, Lakeville's new Walmart store will not have a Chipotle Restaurant when it opens Oct. 17.

After a year of controversy and fanfare, Walmart is set to open its first Lakeville location on Oct. 17.

Brenton Balvin, who spearheaded Walmart's hiring process in Lakeville said that all the employees are set to go for the opening of the new, 150,000 square foot building located at the corner of Interstate 35 and County Road 70 along Keokuk Avenue.

The store will not, however, have a Chipotle Restaurant inside, despite Twitter rumors to the contrary. City officials confired that a Subway will be located inside the store, but not a Chipotle.
