Homebuilding Permits in Lakeville Almost Tops Woodbury

The number of permits recorded in September 2013 was over 100 more than what was recorded in September 2012.

Lakeville was only one building permit behind Woodbury in the total number of building permits for the year through the end of September, the Star Tribune reported.

According to the Keystone Report for the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC), Lakeville has a total of 274 building permits recorded through September of this year. In September 2012 the year-to-date number was 173.

The year-to-date number of new listings, closed sales and average sale price has also increased in Lakeville compared to this time last year, according to the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors September 2013 report.
