Chamber Names Cheryl Morton 2013 Ambassador of the Year

The Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that Cheryl Morton is the the Chamber's 2013 Ambassador of the Year.

Morton was selected by other Chamber members for the work she has done to contribute to the Ambassador Committee and the growth of the Chamber, according to a news release from the Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce. 

Morton, a Burnsville resident, works in business development at Sterling State Bank in Lakeville. She joined the Chamber in 2008 and since then she has participated in committees and has been named "Ambassador of the Quarter" multiple times. 

"The Lakeville Chamber is known for its professionalism and involvement. Their Morning Brews, Business After Hours and program lunches offer unlimited opportunities to connect," Morton said in the news release.

In addition to her Chamber membership, Morton is a mentor with Hope for Tomorrow and a member of the Lakeville Rotary Club and its Taste of Lakeville fundraiser. She is on the board of the Twin Cities Ballet, Burnsville Community Education, Friends of the Lakeville Arts Center and the Lakeville Area Arts Festival.
