Youth: Hunger Games Survival Competition

Spots have begun to fill for the competition, which will take place at Heritage Library in Lakeville.

Heritage Library in Lakeville is hosting a Hunger Games Survival Competition Jan. 14.

A parks naturalist will first help kids and teenagers learn how to tie practical knots, such as the ones Katniss in the The Hunger Games would have used. Class participants will then have the opportunity to "compete in survival scenarios" modeled from The Hunger Games.

Prizes will be awarded.

The competition is for youth ages 10 to 16. The class is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Registration is required
