Lakeville North Presents 'The Music Man'

The production will have its last showings on Nov. 15 and 16.

Lakeville North's fall musical this year is the "The Music Man" by Meredith Wilson.

The latest Lakeville North newsletter provides a description of the musical:

The story follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize. The catch? He doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, whose belief in Harold’s powers just might help him succeed in the end in spite of himself.

The production will have its last showings this weekend:

  • Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Purchase tickets online or at the door.

Lakeville North is a participant in the 2013-14 SpotLight Musical Theatre Program, which supports Minnesota high school musicals and students through workshops and performance opportunities.

Lakeville South also participates in the program and will produce a musical in the spring.
