Holiday Art Sale Coming to Lakeville Area Arts Center

The Holiday Art Sale begins Friday, Dec. 9 and runs through Dec. 16. The arts center is also hosting a new exhibit by ceramic artist Chad Jerzak through Dec. 22.

The is hosting its annual Holiday Art Sale on Friday, Dec. 9 from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The sale will remain open through December 16 during business hours.

Folks can choose from unique artwork handcrafted by Lakeville Area Arts Center students and instructors. Shoppers will find a variety of mediums including jewelry, pottery, mixed media, and more. 

Also as part of this sale, the Lakeville Area Arts Center pottery studio is proud to sponsor an “empty bowls” fundraiser. Our potters have donated their time to produce approximately 60 soup bowls which will be available at a suggested donation of $8 each. All proceeds are going to 360 Communities food shelf to feed the hungry. Every bowl represents a hungry stomach that together, we can fill.

Also at the arts center, is an exhibit by ceramic artist Chad Jerzak. The exhibit continues through Dec. 22. The public is invited to view the exhibit during regular hours at the Arts Center, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Jerzak’s Raku and barrel firing techniques result in striking colors including a variety of reds, purples, blacks, grays and yellows.  Chad is a middle school art teacher and is also a 2011 Lakeville Art Festival award winner.
