Lorie Line to Perform in Lakeville

Tickets are now on sale for Lorie Line’s highly popular intimate concert series at the Lakeville Area Arts Center on Tuesday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. “Live In The Sunshine” plays off a traditional hymn from Line’s brand new and highly anticipated CD The Heritage Collection, Volume Six.

Line is most excited about the touring entourage this year. Back in the band after many years are world-class fiddler/mandolin player Peter Ostroushko, and Kirk Johnson, Prince’s drummer and choreographer for years. In addition, she has a few “youngsters” as she calls them, and is bringing the youngest guitar player (from Des Moines, Iowa) to ever hit her stage (19-year old Chase Hardin) and actor/singer/trombone player Derek Bromme from Duluth.

Line has been touring 23 years. Known mainly for her holiday extravaganza, she has been branching out these past six years developing her intimate series. This year’s show will highlight Line’s non-holiday music that she has arranged and created for the past two years, including music from her all-original album, Serendipity, also VOGUE, and now her brand new release from her best-selling series of heritage music. This tour takes Line and her Fab Five to about 25 cities this May, June and July.
