Antigone: presented by Envision Academy of the Arts at the PAC

'Antigone' is revered as one of the most prominent Greek tragedies of all time. The controversy is centered on the conflict between Antigone (daughter of Oedipus and Jocasta) and Creon (ruler of Thebes). Antigone's brothers have killed each other in a civil war. Creon decrees that only one of the brothers is to be honored, while the other is disgraced. Antigone is furious and decides to bury the disgraced brother as well. Her choice leads to disastrous results that deeply affect all concerned.
