Nicholas David fans rejoice!
The singer, who took third place last year on NBC's "The Voice", will give a free, public performance at the Church of St. Joseph in Rosemount at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17.
The singer graduated from St. Joseph School in 1995—long before he was catapulted into the national spotlight on NBC's televised singing competition. Now, he plans to perform "Over the Rainbow" with St. Joseph students as part of a community celebration. All are invited to attend the performance.
The Church of St. Joseph is located at 13900 Biscayne Avenue West, Rosemount. Turn east from Hwy. 3 (Robert Trail South) on Connemara Trail, then south on Biscayne Avenue West.
"We at St. Joseph and Dakota County and the entire Twin Cities simply want to congratulate our local humble hero," Father Paul Jarvis wrote in an emailed invitation. "And the best way to celebrate what God has given us is to re-gift our giftedness to others."
