Actresses Needed for 'The Dixie Swim Club'

Expressions Community Theater is looking to cast five actresses for roles in an upcoming production called The Dixie Swim Club.

The Lakeville Area Arts Center describes The Dixie Swim Club as being about five southern women who take an annual trip to a particular beach cottage in North Carolina. The story focuses on four of the trips over a period of 33 years. 

The actresses will fill the roles of women portrayed at ages 44, 49, 54 and 77. The role requires actresses to speak with a southern accent.

Auditions for The Dixie Swim Club will be held at the Lakeville Area Arts Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 3 and 4. If needed, call backs will occur at 6 p.m. Feb. 6. Rehearsal will begin during the week of Feb. 10.

Expressions Community Theater will present the play April 4-6 and 11-13.
