Whitney Houston's Funeral to be Live Streamed for Public

The funeral is private, but fans mourning the loss of the music icon can watch the funeral via a live Internet steam.

I've received four emails over the past two days asking if I knew whether Whitney Houston's funeral is going to be available for the public.

So I did some research and am posting a story for everyone to see. At the bottom, be sure to let us know what your favorite Whitney Houston song was. Mine, for the record, is I Will Always Love You.

According to the Washington Post, fans worldwide can watch Whitney Houston's funeral via a live stream on their Celebritology page. The funeral, which begins at noon eastern—11 a.m. central—will be broadcast in its entirety. A link will be available on the blog's main page Saturday morning. I'm sure CNN and other cable news channels will also show a bulk of the service.

The funeral will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J., which was Houston’s childhood place of worship. Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder are scheduled to perform, according to the report. Record producer Clive Davis also plans to speak.

Other celebrities attending include Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, Alicia Keys, Bobby Brown, and Kevin Costner.
