Assistance with income tax return preparation will be available at the Lakeville Senior Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday, and 5:30 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday beginning Feb. 1 and continuing through April 12.

Trained AARP Tax-Aide program volunteers, certified by the Internal Revenue Service, will explain tax requirements, answer your questions, then help complete and electronically file your return. AARP Tax-Aide is a program of the AARP Foundation, offered in conjunction with the IRS, for low- and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention to those age 60 and older.  Volunteers are trained to assist with uncomplicated federal and state income tax returns, as well as with the Minnesota Property Tax Refund (“renter’s credit” or homeowner’s) return.
