Viewfinder: Winter Takes One Last Gasp in Lakeville

Spring is stunted in Lakeville as the area receives more than two inches of snow. Do you have any fun photos of snow? Post them here.

Minnesota in April generally means a couple of inches of snow, whether it's wanted or not by folks yearning for Spring's return. So it wasn't a surprise that Lakeville received more than two inches of snow Friday night and Saturday morning, leaving the ground snow covered.

Farmington received more than four inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service, and the late-season winter storm brought with it temperatures 10 degrees below normal and wind gusts as high as 45 MPH at Lakeville's Airlake Airport Friday night.

The snow should be gone by midday Saturday as temperatures climb into the upper 40s, according to the National Weather Service. And Sunday should be nice, as Spring returns with sun and temperatures in the mid 50s.
