Mental Health Presentations Arrive at Hosanna Church in Lakeville

KSTP Meteorologist Ken Barlow will be the keynote speaker at the sessions on Monday and Tuesday.

The Dakota Healthy Communities Collaborative and the Park Nicollet Foundation are sponsoring a community conversations and a summit on mental health with sessions on Monday and Tuesday.

The keynote speaker on both nights will be Ken Barlow, a meteorologist at KSTP who has bipolar I disorder. Topics at the meetings will cover a variety of issues, including information about accessing county programs and for health professionals who do not specialize in mental health, suicide prevention and awareness, and depression.

Monday's event is titled "Community Conversation: Supporting Mental Health in Our Children." It is a free event at from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Hosanna! Lutheran Church in Lakeville, 9600 163rd Street West in Lakeville.

Tuesday's event is all day, starting at 8:30 a.m. The "South of the River Mental Health Summit" will also take place at Hosanna! Lutheran Church. The cost to attend is $25.
