How to Protect Your Estate from Excess Estate & Income Taxation - September 30, 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Lakeville Senior Center

In a few short years, the estate tax exemption is scheduled to drop a substantial amount. This means that thousands of dollars from your estate may go to the IRS (and not your kids) if proper planning is not
completed during your lifetime. If you are retired or close to retirement, with tax-sheltered retirement accounts, plan to attend this seminar. Each person receives a comprehensive handout to review, a chance to ask questions, and an opportunity to learn vital steps to protecting and preserving your estate. Deadline for sign up is Sept. 26.

Foot Care - Tuesday, September 27

Foot care will be offered at the Lakeville Senior Center on Tuesday, Sept. 27. Call the Senior Center for your ½-hour appointment - 952-985-4622; the cost is $30. To cancel, call the Center at least 24 hours in advance, or you will be charged.

The Win-Win-Win-Win Cat Deal

Would you like the companionship of a pet cat? A local family did cat rescue for several years and ended up with a few wonderful adult cats that they are offering to you. All the cats use the litter box, play well with others, are indoor cats only, healthy, neutered/spayed, over 10 years old, like an afternoon nap and are affectionate. If there comes a time when you can no longer care for the cat, the family will take it back. If interested, come meet the cats and their family, Michele Jennings, on Wed., Sept. 28 at 10:15 a.m. at the Lakeville Senior Center.

"The Next Chapter" - Tuesday, October 4, 10:15-11:30 a.m.

Join Maura Albrecht from Trust Point for an interactive discussion to be held at the Lakeville Senior Center, focusing on the challenges and the available myriad of choices and resources to consider as you approach
the next chapter of your life (retirement).

You will:

- Learn how important it is to create a plan for your next chapter.
- Learn how to identify and coordinate various services offered in your community.
- Explore the daily challenges of working, care-giving and planning for retirement.

Sign up by Sept. 29 if you plan to attend.
