Lakeville Woman Crowned Aurora, Queen of the Snows
Another Lakeville resident is St. Paul Winter Carnival's East Wind Princess.
Lakeville woman Abby Hoglin will be St. Paul Winter Carnival's next Aurora, Queen of the Snows, according to the Pioneer Press.
"Honestly, and I mean this with all my heart, the word the selection committee kept using to describe her was 'regal,' " Committee member Melissa Moser said to the Pioneer Press. "She has the biggest heart. She cares about everyone. She is just the kindest, most genuine person I've met in a very long time."
Hoglin, 27, is a native of Northfield and a graduate of the University of Minnesota. She married her husband, Mitch Hoglin, in 2009 and the two live in Lakeville with Mitch Hoglin's father, three dogs and three cats.
The Winter Carnival court also includes another Lakeville resident, says the Pioneer Press: 33-year-old Christine Schrader, who is this year's East Wind Princess.
