Lakeville Police Officers Join Basketball Tournament for Slain Cold Spring Officer

Lakeville law enforcement will take to the hardwood on March 16 to raise money for the family of Tom Decker, a Cold Spring officer who was gunned down in the line of duty last year.

More than a dozen Lakeville police officers made the trek to Cold Spring in December to attend the funeral of Cold Spring Officer Thomas Decker, who was murdered in the line of duty.

In March, another group of Lakeville police officers will face off on the basketball court to help raise funds for the family of Decker.

Decker died on November 29, 2012 after he was shot while responding to a call at a bar. So far, the investigation has not yielded anything conclusive, though one "person of interest" killed himself after a standoff in early January. The case remains unsolved.
