The Mob, Love & Hope

Growing up in New York’s violent and feared Colombo crime family, Michael Franzese became one of the biggest money earners the Mob had ever seen, ranking #18 on the “The Fifty Biggest Mafia Bosses” in Fortune magazine. He lived a life of luxury, power—and deadly violence. Michael stayed true to his blood oath until the faith of a beautiful young woman forever changed the course of his life and he did the unthinkable: he quit the Mob.

Michael survived dozens of grand jury appearances, three major racketeering indictments, five criminal trials, and two stints in prison. His time served added up to eight long years; half in solitary confinement for his own protection. Back home in California, Cammy served a prison sentence of a different sort. Raising three young children on her own, she made regular trips to visit Michael at different prisons while enduring a loneliness that at times consumed her.

Despite a one-time Mafia death sentence, Michael now shares his passionate testimony to audiences across the country, inspiring others to make positive changes in their lives against intimidating odds. Their shared testimony is one of a couple committed to their marriage…and their faith in God.
