Top Five Reasons to Elect Andrew Brobston: #2: I Am Not a Career Politican

This is #2 of the top five reasons you should vote Andrew Brobston for Senate in District 58. See the last one before the election.

The Minnesota Legislature is a citizen legislature. It is intended to be a part-time job for people who work like other Minnesotans. This is a show of faith in real, typical people to make our laws and run our government. Your legislators do not have to be legal experts. In fact, the legislature has an office with lawyers on staff to write the actual bills. The job of legislator is designed for anyone you elect to be able to carry it out.

With this in mind, how would you describe your ideal legislator? Would you want someone honest and hard-working? Someone who shares your values?

Unfortunately, I hear the comment too often that politicians are all the same: dishonest, self-serving, and corrupt. Maybe that's why I do not view myself as a career politician but rather as a citizen wanting to serve you in Minnesota's citizen legislature.

I have wondered how to show you that I will work to earn your trust. I do my absolute best to run an honest campaign and to show you where I got the facts to support what I am saying. Nevertheless, until I am in office, I hope you will give me the benefit of the doubt and let me earn your trust by electing me to be your State Senator.

I am voting for you only because Senator Thompson at the 11th hour choose to protect his reelection efforts instead of a state asset by voting against the new Vikings stadium. Everything that you say you will do is typical rhetoric but hopefully you choose the best interest of the state over yourself if elected.
