I-35 Will Be One Lane Either Way You Turn out of Lakeville This Weekend
Northbound I-35 will be single-lane between County Road 50 and the 35W/35E split from Friday morning to Monday morning.
If you've always wanted to drive in single-lane traffic on I-35, this is your weekend.
You can head south where roadwork has reduced traffic in both directions to one lane through mid- November.
Or, this weekend only, you can drive north to encounter possible delays on northbound Interstate 35 as the roadway between Lakeville and Burnsville is reduce to single lane.
At 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, northbound I-35 will be reduced to a single lane between County Road 50 and the I-35/35W/35E split. All lanes are scheduled to re-open by 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9.
Closing the lanes will allow crews to fix concrete pavement and part of a larger project to repair concrete and make other improvements along I-35 and I-35E.
